'Every adult was once a child...Time does not heal all wounds, instead Time conceals. And human beings convert traumatic emotional experiences in childhood into organic disease later in life...The body remembers, and will tell its tale.' - Childhood Disrupted by Donna Jackson Nakazawa

I highly recommend this book. A very good read for those suffering from childhood trauma or have a dysfunctional family.
There are people who told me that finding one's life purpose is not possible in a country like Singapore where the cost of living is too high, and some even perceive one's life purpose has to be a job dealing with divine or spiritual, this is not actually so.
This video is able to fully illustrate what it means to find one's life purpose. I shared with my clients and my talks' participants, that one can still have a life purpose regardless of the types of jobs, be it a cleaner, a lawyer, a doctor, a driver, a construction worker, a housewife, a banker, a healer, etc. It's not about how glamorous is the job, it's about how one puts passion and commitment to the fullest in one's job duties and roles to serve a cause, to serve others, or to make it a better place for everyone. A cup of coffee to perk someone's day, a clean toilet to welcome a user, a safe ride for a commuter, a smile for a tourist, a loving home for a child, a safe healing space for a wounded soul. These are examples of serving one's life purpose. And when one is in harmony with one life's purpose, one will find the greatest satisfaction in life. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/tech-support/201606/unloved-daughters-and-living-the-dance-denial?utm_source=FacebookPost&utm_medium=FBPost&utm_campaign=FBPost
This article reminds me of a case I had worked on, using Bach Flower Remedies. It was not an easy healing journey, painful but eventually liberating and worthwhile for her. A very nice song for the ones who dare to risk to be seen, to be yourself, in all your glory.
This is something which all Bach practitioners have to practise, and it's holding a healing space for others.

When we were born, we had our true personality. As we grow up, we are influenced by family, friends and society. Sometimes, we have to do things against our own will. This leaves us feeling dissatisfied with life. When we neglected any of our negative emotions for a prolonged period, layers of negative emotions accumulated, just like an onion. We lost sight of who we were and developed a 'false' personality. Have you lost touched with your inner self? I like what my teacher Lynn said, 'we are the ambassadors of the Bach Flower Remedies system'.
When I'm back from UK, I'll be doing my part to share the knowledge of this wonderful self-healing system with the world. |
